Readers rave about trick-or-treat, rant about cigarette butts.

RAVE To all the parents who took their kids out to trick-or-treat in their neighborhoods on Halloween night. It’s sad that this tradition is slowly being changed into a more sanitized version where parents are encouraged to take their kids to businesses rather than their neighbors to celebrate this fun holiday. Keep the tradition alive! I’ll keep carving a pumpkin and having candy ready for your little kiddos, even if only two show up.

RANT To smokers who toss their cigarette butts on the ground, sidewalks, roads, parks, parking lots, everywhere. When you’re at home do you toss your butts on the floor? No? Oh, I get it; you would have to pick them up instead of leaving them for someone else to clean up.
