Seattle Times reader Olga Bakhirev’s photo from a snowy trek on the Skyline Lake Trail.
Photographer: Olga Bakhirev, Seattle Photo taken: Jan. 13, Skyline Lake Trail, near Stevens Pass Photographer’s description: “I was excited to go and play in the snow, so I decided to drive out to the Skyline Lake trail. I had my Canon XSi camera with me. It started out as a cloudy day but then sun started peeking out.” Expert says: “What a nice day to get out and enjoy the snowy winter. The sun peeking from behind the tree adds a nice filter of golden rays that helps anchor the photo. The line of walked-over snow through the frame helps create a sense of depth.” Below is a gallery of previous Reader’s Lens picks. Share your recent photo from around the Northwest.
