Photographer’s description: “My girlfriend and I decided to undertake a winter hike on New Year’s Day, the snow was compact and the view was stunning as we made our way toward the off-piste skiing areas. One group had set up camp near a snow-covered river, and the contrast was beautiful. Shot on a Canon 7D.”
Critique: “There is a nice sense of scale added to this snowy landscape thanks to the photographer framing the group setting up camp. Even though the group is in nice bright colors that draw you in, try experimenting with cropping to make the people larger.”
