Seattle Times reader Michael Levy and a friend took a drive to capture a great sunset.

Photo taken: Taken on July 8, 2018 at Picnic Point
Photographer’s description: “Glorious sunset at Picnic Point, north of Seattle. With some interesting early evening cloud formations in the sky, a friend suggested we drive to Picnic Point in hopes of a colorful sunset. We were not disappointed. Taken with a Panasonic Lumix G6 with Panasonic 45-150mm lens @45mm, 1/25 second, ISO 160.”
Critique: “Sunday’s sunset had some fantastic colors that I am was impressed to see captured beautifully in this photo. The lined layers of the silhouettes and clouds create a nice contrast. Try cropping some of the rocky shore on the bottom to help elevate those lines.”
