One of the first signs of Spring in the Pacific Northwest is the annual Penn Cove Mussel Fest, set for this Saturday and Sunday in the town of Coupeville on Whidbey Island. Events include music, a “Mussel, Beer and Wine Garden” on Saturday, tours of the Penn Cove Shellfish farm, a chowder tasting and mussel cooking demonstrations.
