Readers single out kind teens, an oblivious walker.
RAVE To the several high-school-age young men who graciously welcomed my 6-year-old grandson when he wanted to join their football game at the local playfield while we were out to run off some energy before last Sunday’s big game. He was so delighted, jumping up to give them high-fives after playing. Thanks from Nana.
RANT To the young woman who literally leapt into the crosswalk after the walk signal already displayed a solid red hand, while she was wearing headphones and not even glancing to see if a car was coming. As the alert driver who slammed on my brakes, I’m worried this woman won’t be so lucky the next time she’s oblivious.
