Seattle may not have sample sales — not the New York kind, anyway — but trunk shows are the next best thing. Especially when they involve those things close to a girl’s heart: big bags, handmade lariat-style necklaces, delicate gemstone earrings and chunky cocktail rings.

It’s rare to see these four local accessory designers in one place, and in person, no less: Lauren Schwartz of Schwa Design, Leilani Jansen, Michelle Lenae and Crystalyn Kae will be featured guests at a trunk show Saturday at Violette boutique in Pioneer Square.

“It’s the best of what we have in Seattle — they’re the cream of the crop in terms of accessory designers,” says Beth Nielsen, owner of Violette. “I personally like all their things, and I’m really picky.”

Throw in some champagne and snacks and what’s not to like? In addition, all clothing in the store will be 20 percent off for the day. The trunk show (prices range from $70 to $450) runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Violette (206-652-8991, 602 Second Ave., Seattle).
