Readers rant about overcrowded Light Rail elevators, rave about help after fall

RANT To people who crowd onto the morning elevator down to the Beacon Hill Light Rail station (where stairs are not an option).  When the elevator doors are closing, another elevator WILL come if you have the courtesy to let this one go and let its passengers catch the train that’s about to pull out of the station. Having the doors start to close then reopen repeatedly as more people run to catch the elevator makes me feel very un-Seattle nice.

RAVE For the kind gentleman who helped me up after I fell outside Fred Meyer yesterday and the woman and her daughter who followed me home to unload my groceries for me. Thanks so much for your kindness.
