Rant and Rave: Stranger’s kindness at bus stop appreciated

RAVE and thank you to the gentleman that offered us some napkins for my distraught mom while waiting for the bus at Third and Virginia. She is having some health issues that cause a lot of pain. We noticed you gave up your seat on the bus for two female passengers as well. Your kindness made us all feel a bit better.

RANT to people who leave their dog in the car even for a few minutes. Temperatures rise quickly inside and can lead to injury or death. 

RAVE to all the coaches, refs and the small army of volunteers who made the Special Olympics soccer tournament at Ingraham High Saturday, May 13, a huge success. An even bigger rave to the athletes — win or lose, there were smiles, handshakes and hugs in abundance. This group wrote the book on good sportsmanship
