Rant and Rave: Reader’s nurse helped provide comfort during surgery

RAVE to the staff at EvergreenHealth for their competent and compassionate care during my recent knee replacement surgery. And particularly to the nurse whose job it was to hold me while I was given a spinal block. I was very scared and when they realized I was crying, they didn’t say anything but stepped in a little closer and held me tighter. It was a much-appreciated comfort.

RANT to vulgar fans. We had friends visiting from Michigan and we all went to a bar to watch the Husky/Michigan game. We are Huskies, and our friends rooted for Michigan, but we respect each other. Unfortunately, many Husky fans continued to shout [an expletive]! Myself and our table were more than disgusted! I put my black jacket on to cover my purple! I did not want to be associated with obnoxious Husky fans!
