Rant and Rave: Reader irritated by lack of light on U.S. flags

RANT to all the people who fly their American flags at night with no light on it! A real light that will shine all night! So if you want to fly your flag at night, put a light on it.

RAVE to my recycling driver in Ravenna. He goes beyond the call of duty. He rolls my empty container as close as he can to my front porch. There are still some workers out there with good work ethics. I am disabled and this helps a lot.

RANT to charitable-donation requests. How can charities ask for donations when they spend money on sending out address labels, calendars, note pads, medals, cards and then ask you to put a stamp on the envelope to help defray their costs. Between September 2021, when I started keeping track, and present day, I have received over 50 requests, some twice from the same charity.
