Rant and Rave: Reader doesn’t want to see photos on Christmas cards

RANT to Christmas cards with photos. I miss the kind of Christmas cards with a Nativity or snowman or Santa. Anything but you and your seemingly perfect life. “Look at me!” “Look at us!” Ugh. To the bottom of the bin you go. I can look at Facebook if I want to see you, but I don’t. Just send holiday greetings and not, “Look at me!” please. Over it.

RAVE to the kind person who helped me in the QFC parking lot in Maple Valley on New Year’s Eve. I was totally blinded by the sun and couldn’t find my way into the store. They approached me and asked if I needed help with anything and when I told them my problem, they offered to help me into the store, even offering their arm for me to hold onto. I gratefully accepted. What a kind gesture to a total stranger. Thank you!
