RANT to clothing that acts as a billboard for manufacturers. I bought a nice coat last winter and got it home to find the company logo embroidered in a high contrast color on the front and back near the shoulder, with some other numbers embroidered on the sleeve. Got a raincoat via mail order, only to find it has a logo stuck on the shoulder and stamped into all the snaps. Shouldn’t they pay us, or at least offer a discount in exchange for our service?
RANT to the Burke-Gilman’s bumpy pavement. I went for a bike ride on a lovely day, only to find that, once again, the Burke-Gilman Trail is riddled with dangerous, uncomfortable bumps from tree roots on mile after mile. Why is it that the pavement suddenly gets better when you leave the city limits? I wonder how many crashes result from those bumps. Smooth it out, Seattle Parks and Recreation and Seattle Department of Transportation!
