RANT to drivers who curb their wheels the wrong way. It’s common sense. If you’re facing downhill, turn the wheel toward the curb. If you’re facing uphill, turn the wheel toward the center of the street.
RAVE to the Bellevue Police Department and the officer who followed up on a hung-up 911 call. My older, legally blind mother, had apparently hit 911 on speed dial when she dropped her phone. The responding officer was very professional, taking time to assure everything really was OK in my mom’s residence. There was no hint of irritation about this false call. I was so startled by this surprise visit, I neglected to properly thank the officer for checking on Mom’s safety. It’s great to know, had there been a true emergency, someone would have responded. Thanks, Bellevue Police Department. You are much appreciated!
