RAVE to Bellevue Parks & Community Services for their gargantuan effort to level a mountain of rubbish from the bomb cyclone. Bannerwood Park started to receive dozens of truckloads a few days after the storm till it became a formidable pile. They worked every day rain or no shine till it was ground up, chainsawed and loaded into dumpsters, many of the tree sections 3 feet wide or more. Now the park is pristine as usual and ready for Seattle U baseball parking to welcome spring.
RANT to people who let their dogs run unleashed in public parks without any responsibility for them. I don’t necessarily mind the dogs, but when you let them urinate inside my bike helmet, go through people’s things and don’t pick up after them, it really makes me wish that the leash laws were enforced.
