RANT to people who pick my blueberries and my plums. I have spent hundreds of hours planting, weeding, feeding and watering, as well as the expense, to get them to this stage of age and maturity to harvest. A lot of work to then be denied the joy of seeing the fruits of my labor. I have confronted numerous adults, blithely picking away. When confronted, no apology. No recognition of wrongdoing. They act entitled and make excuses. Really? There is no excuse. It is called common decency and right vs. wrong. If you want to donate to buying the rootstock and help spend hours weeding and mulching, feeding and watering them, then we can talk about your entitlement to pick fruit. Shame on you.
RAVE to NBC and Channel 5 for their extraordinary 24/7 coverage of the Summer Olympics. Just WONDERFUL!
