Wouldn’t you think they’d have run out of home-show ideas by now? Maybe they’re getting close. These two latest HGTV entries are obviously imported from Canada — and a mysterious time-warp black hole.

“House & Home,” 5:30 p.m. Saturdays. Apparently everyone in Canada reads “House & Home” magazine, so now it’s a TV show, too. In each episode, publisher/host Lynda Reeves asks a burning design question and sets out to answer it by peeking into people’s swanky homes. Since she’s already asked “Can You Live Naked?” (pray for a rerun), tonight she’ll tackle “Is the Dining Room Over?” Either way, you’re sure to pick up some stylish techniques — and maybe even a bit of an accent, eh?

“24 Hour Design,” 8:30 p.m. Fridays. Host Angelo Surmelis (“The House Whisperer”) and his go-get-’em team perform dramatic room makeovers “in the 10 sweet hours between sunup and sunset.” So why isn’t it called “10 Hour Design”? Whisper me that.
