It’s Macy’s answer to Nordstrom Rack and it’s coming to two Seattle-area locations next week.

Macy’s will open its first two off-price Backstage locations within the Macy’s stores at Alderwood Mall, in Lynnwood, and Westfield Southcenter, in Tukwila, on Saturday, June 16. They will be the first two Backstage locations in the state of Washington.

Macy’s says the Backstage store-within-a-store will feature “significant savings on fabulous finds.” The outlet-style stores will have more than 10,000 square feet of dedicated retail space inside the Macy’s locations, and will focus on on-trend merchandise priced at 20 to 80 percent off traditional department store prices. Along with clothing and accessories for women, men and kids, the stores will have housewares, home textiles and décor items, cosmetics, hair and nail care, gifts, jewelry, shoes, designer handbags and activewear.

“Macy’s Backstage was designed to bring great deals and the fun of the hunt into our existing Macy’s locations,” says Michelle Israel, Macy’s Senior Vice President of Off Price. “Backstage’s focus on value and newness guarantees that with each visit, shoppers will find an amazingly-priced assortment of recognizable brands and trends. Frequent deliveries ensure there is always a new reason to come in and shop.”

Seven free-standing Backstage stores opened in the Northeast and San Antonio, TX in 2015 and 2016. In the subsequent years, Macy’s has opened more than 40 store-within-store locations. There are currently 52 Macy’s Backstage locations across the United States.
