The Seattle-based outdoor company is stocked with hiking and sailing gear for summer.
Just in time for hiking and boating season, Seattle-based outdoor-outfitter Helly Hansen has opened its first local storefront since closing its Pacific Place Mall location seven years ago.
Located one block over, next to the Nike store, at 1504 Sixth Ave, the store opens with hiking and sailing gear, moves into athleisure and heritage styles, and has kids gear, bags and shoes in the back.
Known for high-end products with Norwegian roots, the brand invented the nubby fleece beloved in the Pacific Northwest. More recent innovations are proprietary waterproof fabrics and the clever H2 Flow temperature-regulating system.
The store’s grand opening will be held Friday, with food, drinks and giveaways from 5–9 p.m., but doors are already open.
