Moisturizer is a year-round must, but that doesn’t mean you should use the same one during all four seasons.

The rich, heavy cream you count on in winter probably won’t perform the same way in the summer, as temperatures get warmer and your skin becomes oilier.

For summer, switch to a water-based moisturizer, which will still be hydrating, but without making your skin look shiny or causing congestion.

Here are 10 for lightweight hydration:

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream ($65 at Sephora). This moisturizer has two forms of hyaluronic acid and tamarind extract for hydration, plus papaya enzymes to smooth, exfoliate and brighten.
