Tatiana Maslany

Maslany, pictured, finally got a long-deserved nomination for playing multiple roles in the clone drama “Orphan Black” on BBC America. Give this woman an Emmy already.

Jeffrey Tambor

Character actor Tambor (known for “The Larry Sanders Show” and “Arrested Development”) was a revelation as transgender woman Maura Pfefferman in “Transparent,” a comedy series from Amazon.

‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’

Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) emerged from an underground bunker with a delightful burst of quirky humor in this Netflix fish-out-of-water comedy series, due in no small part to both Kemper and writer/producer Tina Fey.
