Seattle-based librarian and author Nancy Pearl’s second what-to-read-next book, “More Book Lust: Recommended Reading for Every Mood, Moment and Reason,” has been picked by NBC’s “Today” show as its most recent book-club selection.

Thriller writer Lisa Scottoline made the selection on yesterday’s show.

“More Book Lust” follows Pearl’s breakout hit, “Book Lust.” Both books are published by Seattle-based Sasquatch Books.

“More Book Lust” contains more than 120 new reading lists, with categories that include “Me, Me, Me: Autobiographies and Memoirs” and “Dewey Deconstructed.”

“Book Lust” was a surprise hit for Sasquatch, selling more than 80,000 copies.

Since retiring last year from the Seattle Public Library, Pearl’s reach has steadily expanded. In addition to her “Today” show stint, she now occasionally reviews books on National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition.”
