OLYMPIA — A Washington state senator is asking the Attorney General’s Office to look into the increased prices for tickets to Adele’s Seattle concert.

KIRO-TV reports that Sen. Marko Liias, a Lynnwood Democrat, thinks online robots snapped up tickets to the July 26 concert and are driving the price up. Ticket bots, which can purchase tickets faster than a would-be concertgoer can say “hello,” are illegal in Washington.

Liias has requested the investigation in response to reports of ticket manipulation for the concert. He says ticket bots are unfair and exploitative in addition to being illegal.
