Scenic Edmonds hosts with music, food, classic yachts, kids attractions and more at the nautical-themed Edmonds Rotary Waterfront Festival this weekend, May 29 through 31.

Young jazz musicians from the Edmonds School District kick off festival entertainment at 3 p.m. Friday, also marking the beginning of Sea Jazz performances throughout the summer at the Port of Edmonds, 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 1 to 3 p.m. Sundays.

Continuous entertainment on the festival’s main stage through the weekend features classic rock with The Beatniks on Friday night, a party with the Michelle Taylor Band and The Machine on Saturday, and Hawaiian music and dance Saturday and Sunday with Hula O Lehualani.

Time: 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 29-31.

Cost: $3, ages 12 and younger free.

Location: Port of Edmonds Marina, 358 Admiral Way, Edmonds.

Willow Creek Fish Hatchery: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, 95 Pine St., Edmonds.

Shuttles: 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday from Fifth Avenue and Bell Street and Third Avenue and Dayton Street, Edmonds; to and from fish hatchery 10 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. Sunday.

5k Dash: 8:30 a.m. Saturday May 30, $35; Kids Dash 9:30 a.m. Saturday, $15; Edmonds Civic Playfield, 300 Sixth Ave N., Edmonds.

Yachts built as early as 1928 and hosted by Pacific Northwest Classic Yacht Association will be on display on the water all weekend, some available for touring. Hydroplanes and classic boats also will be on the festival grounds. Vendors will offer 15 booths serving bratwurst and bagels, crepes and ice cream. Arts and crafts displays will include glass art, pottery, paintings, jewelry and clothing.

Kids’ Arcade will keep young ones busy with inflatable rides, carnival games, a rock-climbing wall, bungee trampoline, paintball gallery and a giant slide. Kids can fish free at the Willow Creek Fish Hatchery 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Free fish cleaning is included. The hatchery, constructed in 1985 for salmon enhancement in North Puget Sound and to provide educational activities for children, will host tours for all ages, exhibits and snacks for visitors of ages this weekend.

Admission to the festival is $3, free for ages 12 and younger, to benefit Rotary Club college scholarships and other programs for local youth, the food bank, and local and international charities. A new feature, the Edmonds Waterfront 5K Dash and Kids Dash Saturday morning, benefits Nourishing Network food program for local homeless and low-income families.

Free parking and shuttle service to the main gate all three days, including the fish hatchery Saturday and Sunday, is available from downtown Edmonds. Bicycles, skateboards, scooters and pets, with the exception of service animals, are not allowed on the festival grounds.
