Top streams for the week

Noah Baumbach’s “The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)” (2017, not rated), starring Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller as the estranged sons of an art professor (Dustin Hoffman), comes direct to Netflix from the film-festival circuit.

The FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit is born in the new Netflix original series “Mindhunter” from producer/director David Fincher; 10 episodes.

Amazon Prime’s new anthology horror series “Lore,” based on the popular podcast that investigates the real-life roots of horror legends, debuts quite appropriately on Friday the 13th; six episodes.

“The Babysitter” (2017, not rated) is part of a satanic cult in this Netflix original teen horror film from director McG.

Also new: cult film “Donnie Darko” (2001, R), starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and Will Ferrell’s NASCAR comedy “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” (2006, PG-13).

Foreign affairs: Jackie Chan stars in “Kung Fu Yoga” (China, 2017, not rated, English and Cantonese with subtitles).

Kate Mara is “Megan Leavey” (2017, PG-13) in the true story of a misfit soldier in a K-9 unit.

Ethan Hawke stars in “Predestination” (2015, R), adapted from a classic Robert Heinlein time-travel story.

Kid stuff: Amazon revives the ’70s kids comedy series “Sigmund and the Sea Monsters,” complete with goofy rubber costumes.

“Blair Witch” (2016, R) returns to the scene of the original viral horror sensation.

Hulu

Sarah Silverman hosts the Hulu original talk/comedy series “I Love You, America.” New episodes debut on Thursday nights.

HBO Now

The original documentary “Spielberg” (2017, not rated) profiles the life and art of the influential American filmmaker.
