Celebrate the installation of six artists' work at Cal Anderson Park on Aug. 12.
‘MadArt in the Park’
Cal Anderson Park has become an open-air gallery thanks to “MadArt in the Park,” a six-artist sculpture installation. The public was able to watch the artists at work starting Aug. 1; visitors are invited to celebrate the works’ completion Thursday night by mingling with the artists and sticking around for IndieFlix’s “Film Festival in a Box.” Pieces in the park are by Casey Curran, Alex Hayden, Amy Johnson, Justin Lytle, Jason Puccinelli and Stephen Rock. “MadArt in the Park” will be up through Sept. 12. The celebration starts at 6 p.m. Thursday at the park, 1635 11th Ave., in Capitol Hill. (www.madartseattle.com)
