This week’s highlights
American Authors, 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at The Showbox. This rock-pop band is on the road for the “Band of Brothers” tour. American Authors started in 2006 under the name the Blue Pages. The band has released three studio albums and its 2013 song “Best Day of My Life” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart. The song has been featured in several commercials and trailers. Gregory Porter, 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Moore Theatre. Get jazzy with this Grammy-winning singer. Porter has released five studio albums, including “Liquid Spirit” and “Take Me to the Alley,” which won Grammys for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2014 and 2017, respectively. Porter recently announced his upcoming album, “All Rise,” will be released April 17.
