Break out the baskets and bonnets, folks — Easter is just around the corner. This year’s holiday falls a little later, on April 20, which is the Sunday after the first full moon of spring. With the extra time hopefully leading to warmer spring days, here’s where to search for colorful eggs and enjoy other festivities around the Puget Sound area this Easter weekend. 

Egg hunts around the Seattle area

Teen GLOW Hunt — April 18

Rain or shine, children ages 12-17 can head to Magnuson Park with flashlights for a night of games and egg hunting.

Thomasson Family Farm Bunny Patch — April 18-19

Catch the last weekend of Easter fun at Thomasson Family Farm, which includes egg hunting and photos with the Easter bunny, plus tractor rides and farm animals.

Samena Spring Family Festival — April 18-19

On the Eastside, Samena Swim & Recreation Club is hosting a flashlight egg hunt at 8 p.m. April 18, plus an underwater egg hunt and hunts for toddlers and young nonswimmers throughout the day on April 19. A musical production celebrating pollinators will take place at 11 a.m. April 19.

Beer Garden Easter Egg Hunt — April 19

Ounces Taproom & Beer Garden will have three different egg hunts throughout the afternoon. The first, at noon, will feature candy-filled eggs for kids ages 4-8; kids ages 3 and younger get to hunt for candy-filled eggs at 3 p.m. At 5 p.m., adults 21 and older can look for golden eggs to exchange for a free beer.

EGGstravaganza Egg Hunt — April 19

Marysville Parks, Culture and Recreation invites all kids ages 8 and younger to Jennings Park for egg hunting, photos with the Easter bunny and other festivities.

Underwater Easter Egg Hunt — April 19

Bring your flippers for this egg hunt — certified divers can search for eggs and fun prizes beneath the Puget Sound waves at two locations. Registration is required for the event, hosted by YSS Dive Tacoma and Octopus Gardens Diving.

Georgetown Easter Egg Hunt — April 20

Search for more than 1,000 hidden eggs at Oxbow Park (home of the Hat n’ Boots) at two children’s hunts organized by volunteers and the Georgetown Community Council. Plus, there will be piñatas, coffee and doughnuts.

Tulip Town Easter Egg Hunts — April 19-20

Spend Easter weekend among the colorful blooms of Skagit Valley at Tulip Town. Egg hunts are free with admission for kids ages 10 and younger, and the Easter bunny will be on-site for photos. Adult Easter egg hunts throughout the weekend are $20 plus general admission and come with a glass of wine or beer.

Easter Swing — April 17-20

Easter bunny Express — April 18-20

Breathe in the fresh mountain air with a round trip on the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad. This two-hour, 25-minute round-trip aboard the train will transport you to and from the Elbe Depot, with a stopover at a museum in Mineral where the Easter bunny and an egg hunt await.

Kla Ha Ya Days Easter Parade Celebration — April 19

At this Seafair-affiliated Easter parade in the heart of Snohomish, expect to see parade floats, marching bands, an Easter bonnet contest and more.
