The Seattle Boat Show, Jan. 26-Feb. 3, 2018, expands to a third location this year.
The Seattle Boat Show expands to a third location this year, adding boats on display at Bell Harbor Marina on the downtown waterfront, along with the South Lake Union and CenturyLink Field Event Center displays and activities, daily from Friday, Jan. 26, through Feb. 3. The show’s three locations display a thousand watercraft, from stand-up paddleboards to superyachts, all the latest accessories from hundreds of exhibitors, with boating and fishing seminars, food and drink vendors, and events and activities for all ages.
The new Bell Harbor Marina location at Pier 66, handy to downtown Seattle and waterfront attractions, displays boats on the water and features access to the Historic Point Ruston Ferry, with local beer and wine available onboard.
At the South Lake Union Boat Show venue, activities include the Charity Chowder Chomp Cook-off noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 27-28, with samples from local seafood restaurants and a chance to vote for which one should win the honor of “Best Boat Show Chowder.” The event is a fundraiser for the local nonprofit Salmon for Soldiers, providing fishing programs for veterans with disabilities, PTSD and other challenges, with the winning restaurant earning a charitable donation in its honor to the organization.
