Edmonds Waterfront Festival, June 3-5, and Seattle Pet Expo, June 4-5
Entertainment, food vendors, kids activities and classic boat displays fill the Edmonds Waterfront Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 3 to 5, the 29th year for the popular event on the scenic Edmonds waterfront.
The Seafair Pirates are this year’s special guests, due to arrive between 1 and 2 p.m. Sunday (precise schedules aren’t pirates’ style). Entertainment includes classic rock with the Beatniks at 8 p.m. Friday, music of the 1950s and ’60s with The Edsels at 2 p.m. Saturday, Hula O Lehualani Hawaiian music and dance at 11:30 a.m. Sunday and a variety of country, disco, Motown and rock bands throughout the festival. Classic yachts are on display on the water, hydroplanes are on land, there’s a variety of arts, crafts and food vendors and a beer and wine garden. Inflatable rides, carnival games and other activities fill the Kids’ Arcade, and there’s free fishing for kids Saturday and Sunday at the Willow Creek Fish Hatchery.
Admission to the festival is $3, free for ages 12 and younger, to benefit Rotary Club college scholarships for local youth, the food bank, and local and international charities. Saturday’s Waterfront 5K Dash also raises money for Rotary Club charities.
