Art Marathon and Auction
The former Pioneer Square home of the Elliott Bay Book Company gets put to inventive use this week when the Center on Contemporary Art (CoCA) holds its 18th annual Art Marathon and Auction. We’re talking a two-day event starting at 9 a.m. Thursday. Between 5 and 9 p.m. Thursday, the public is welcome to take a free look at the drawing, sculpting, painting, photography, video and more. It’s anticipated that more than 100 works of art will be produced. They’ll be up for silent and live auction at 6 p.m. Friday, an event for which tickets are required ($15-$25). Globe Building, 101 S. Main St., Seattle (www.cocaseattle.org).
