Sarah Vowell is a much-loved personality in the Pacific Northwest – her history-with-a-twist books have a devoted following. At 12:30 p.m. Sunday Jan. 10, she is the featured guest on the books and authors television show “Well Read” when it debuts on KCTS Channel 9. She discusses her book “Life in the Somewhat United States,” the story of the French aristocrat and Revolutionary War hero the Marquis de Lafayette, with host Terry Tazioli.
For a taste, check out this video, in which she reveals that:
1. She really wanted to be Louis Armstrong. It didn’t work out.
2. Has she ever gotten into real trouble?
3. How does she pick the topics for her books?
Here’s the video: catch the full episode on KCTS and throughout the week on TVW, the state public affairs network, as well as UWTV. For more information on “Well Read,” go to wellread.org.
