Heads up: Ready for more volatility in the stock market? It’s likely to be triggered this week by third-quarter corporate-earnings reports. Alcoa — the aluminum producer and one of the 30 Dow components — kicks off the earnings season each quarter. It reports Tuesday.
Monday: Microsoft holds a Business Intelligence conference through Wednesday at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center.
Tuesday: Gov. Christine Gregoire and U.S. Sen. Patty Murray will speak in Everett at the second annual Governor’s Aerospace Summit, organized by the Aerospace Futures Alliance — a lobbying group representing more than 100 aerospace companies in the state. The conference is at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center, Comcast Arena.
