Karen Thomas was appointed managing director of the Seattle office of Gensler, a global design, planning and strategic consulting firm.
Thomas most recently served as deputy director at the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington. She also has taught at the UW’s College of Built Environments since 2003.
In 2001, she founded her own architecture and interiors-practice firm in Seattle, Thomas & Thomas.
