Karen Braitmayer, a Seattle architect, was elected chairwoman of the United States Access Board. President Obama appointed Braitmayer to the board in 2010.

The Access Board is an independent federal agency devoted to accessibility for people with disabilities and is a leading source of information on accessible design.

Braitmayer is the founder of Karen Braitmayer, FAIA, an architectural consulting firm specializing in accessibility and accessible design.

Jac-e Albertsen was hired as a real-estate loan officer at Banner Bank’s South Everett branch. Janice Fejarang was hired as a commercial relationship manager at the AmericanWest Bank, Seattle.

Teri Koller was promoted to vice president, clinical development and regulatory affairs, at Theraclone Sciences, Seattle.

Frank Martin was hired as operations manager of the Pacific Northwest office at SIKU Construction, Seattle.

Diane Hennessey joined Hart Crowser’s Edmonds office as a biologist and environmental scientist.

Tom Wolf was appointed general manager of Hyatt Regency Bellevue.
