Commercial real estate: Philip Assouad and Giovanni Napoli joined GVA Kidder Mathews.

Government: Elizabeth Ford was named King County labor-relations manager and Anne Watanabe, the deputy hearing examiner for the city of Seattle, was appointed to King County’s board of ethics.

Health care: David Schultz was named chief operating officer of the Overlake Hospital Medical Center and David Aubrey vice president of fund development and executive director of the Overlake Hospital Foundation. Tim Barrett was named director of sales and service and Lee Tucker Therriault media-relations manager at Regence BlueShield.

Law: Ben Shih joined Helsell Fetterman. Jared Barrett, Mark Rogel and Stevan Stark joined Seed Intellectual Property Law Group. Rob Roy Smith joined Ater Wynne. Aric Bomsztyk and Hans Juhl joined Barokas Martin and Tomlinson.

Marketing: Thom Feild was hired as senior visual-communications manager at The Hartman Group.

Retail: Jim McGehee was appointed director of sales for the Tommy Bahama/Relax men’s divisions.

Technology: John Janakiraman was named chief technology officer, Ian Knox director of product marketing and Matt Perrine vice president of sales and development at Illumita.


Aerospace: Dawn Johnson was appointed site leader at Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Redmond.

Banking: Rob Wotton was hired as vice president and commercial-loan officer at Bay Bank, Bellevue.

Finance: David Manning was named vice president of underwriting for the Group division at Symetra Financial, Bellevue.

Real estate: Tom Hurdelbrink was named president and chief executive of the Northwest Multiple Listing Service, Kirkland.

Risk management: John Schmidt and Tim Nierman joined Parker, Smith & Feek, Bellevue, as account executives.
