Betsy Maurer joined Carney Badley Spellman. Nelson Dong, of Dorsey & Whitney, was elected a member of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.

Retail: Cyndi Thomsen was named general manager and Quiauhxochitl Martinez assistant manager at Chocolate Box. Joel Krishova was named general manager at Simply Seattle.

Television: Paul Jackson was named major gifts manager at KCTS 9.

Theater: Katie Jackman joined the Seattle Repertory Theatre as director of communications and marketing.

Youth Services: Rachel Doxtater was promoted to communications and public relations director, Angela Arzaga to communications assistant and Terry McKiel to resource development manager at the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County.
