Robert Flowers was named chairman of Bellevue-based AAA Washington, a provider of roadside assistance, leisure travel and personal-line insurance to more than 1 million members in Washington and Northern Idaho.

Flowers has been an AAA board member since 2005, the year he retired from Washington Mutual as a senior vice president with a 35-year career there.

Among other boards Flowers has served on are the Washington State Convention Center, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and the African American Heritage Foundation.

Architecture:Russell Hazzard was promoted to president at MulvannyG2 Architecture in Bellevue.

Design:Brittany Linn was hired as an interior designer at EHS Design, Seattle.

Engineering:William Phelps was named project manager for the technology practice at Sparling in Lynnwood.

Health care: Dr. Michael Sutters was named medical director of Northwest Kidney Centers’ community dialysis and special care units in Seattle and Dr. Raj Narajanan was named Northwest Kidney Centers’ medical director at its clinic on Broadway in Seattle.

Law:Jack Johnson, former University of Washington chief counsel, was named of counsel at Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson in Seattle.

Erica Buckley was promoted to president and CEO at Buckley & Associates of Seattle and Tacoma.

Nonprofit: Jessica Mathews was named communications manager and Sophie Boyer was named community advancement and donor relations coordinator at Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington, which is based in Seattle.

Preservation: Kji Kelly was named executive director at Historic Seattle.

Technology:John Reilly was hired as chief operating officer at Novinium, Auburn.
