Boeing Chairman and CEO James McNerney received $18,997,099 in total compensation for 2007, down about 7.6 percent from the previous year, according to a regulatory filing today.

The company’s proxy statement also shows Scott Carson, promoted to president of Boeing Commercial Airplanes in late 2006, last year received total compensation worth almost $4.6 million.

McNerney’s 2007 compensation included $1.8 million in salary; $4.8 million in stock awards; $3.7 million in option awards; $4.3 million from a non-equity incentive plan; $3.6 million from the increased value of his pension plan; and $966,000 in other compensation. The total was down from $20,555,734 the previous year.
