Boeing has reached agreement on the terms of a new contract with its white-collar engineering union.

After protracted talks, the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) said a deal was agreed upon early today.

Union officials will recommend their members accept two separate contracts — one covering 7,000 technical staff and the other about 14,000 engineers.

No details of the contracts are being released until after union negotiators present the agreements to their bargaining unit councils at a special meeting set for 6 p.m.
