Amazon.com is giving developers digital tools to sell physical goods from Amazon.com from within mobile applications.

Those developers can earn up to 6 percent in commissions from sales their leads generate. For Amazon, of course, the bounty program offers a new channel from which it can sell goods.

The technology, know as the Mobile Associates API, will work on apps purchased from the Amazon Appstore and Google Play on the Kindle Fire and other Android devices.

Mobile app developer Animoca has built in-app custom offers for items such as action figures based on its game, “Thor: Lord of Storms.” Spring2Partners, which makes a personal assistant app, Springpad, where users save book recommendations and collect home improvement ideas, sees it as an opportunity to sell goods directly from the app.
