Alaska Air lost $1.3 billion last year, but projects ‘brighter days’

Boeing said Monday it will temporarily suspend its Puget Sound factory operations starting Wednesday in response to the escalating COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision comes a day after the first Boeing worker died of a COVID-19 infection. The company said Sunday that 29 of its employees had been confirmed to have the disease.  213431

Alaska Air Group last year lost $1.3 billion, including $430 million in the fourth quarter. It has accepted extended payroll support from the government through the end of March.
