NW Sculptor and painter Jeff Day is having a show of his work at Smith & Vallee gallery in Bow-Edison, Wa at the end of this June. He is busy working on his sculptures for the the show at his Whidbey Island studio.
He’s using a propane torch to heat up the 50-pound bronze sculpture, “Sun Break” occasionally spraying ferric nitrate or copper nitrate to add pattina to the piece.

At Gingerbread Village, which is back for the first time since 2019, includes “To Infinity and Beyond” with the help of sisters Madison and Mia Sledge and designers at 4D architects at the dowmtown Sheraton Grand in Seattle, Monday, November 21. The creation of the four villages were achieved with the design abilities of local architecture firms 4D Architects, Master Builders Asssociation and Gelotte Hommas Drivdahl, MG2 and CallisonRTKL along with the help of Sheration’s pastry chefs, who started in September. This is the 28th year for the Gingerbread Village, which is free. Donations are suggested and benefit JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Northwest Chapter. The display, off the lobby of the hotel, is open every day through January 1, 2023 from 9:00am to 9:00pm, Friday and Saturday the show is extended to 11:00pm.

Popular holiday Gingerbread Village is back, with a ‘Toy Story’ theme VIEW
