Ernie Kent was named the 18th head coach in WSU men’s basketball history on March 31.

He spent the last two seasons as a college basketball analyst for Pac-12 Networks after four years as an analyst for Fox Sports Net.

Kent has an overall coaching record of 325-254 (.561) with six seasons at Saint Mary’s and 13 seasons at Oregon.

He guided the Ducks to one Pac-10 regular-season title, two Pac-10 tourney crowns and five NCAA tournament appearances, including two trips to the Elite Eight.
