No one will ever question WSU broadcaster Matt Chazanow’s dedication — not after his latest interview.

Chazanow wouldn’t let a little cold water get in the way of a good interview. So, like any good reporter, he hopped in and joined All-American lineman Cody O’Connell and other Cougar players in an ice bath.

“Where’s the strangest place you’ve ever been interviewed?” Chazanow asked.

“Probably here. Let’s be honest. Probably here.”

O’Connell could barely talk during the interview, but he did mention how he manages to stand ice tubs every day.

“Well, if the cold tub’s full when you hop in and everyone is in with you — after a little bit, the ice settles and you get used to it. But when people start moving, it moves stuff around.”

The interview was capped, fittingly, by an ice bath cannonball courtesy of WSU’s B.J. Salmonson.

It makes you cold just watching. So hats off to this intrepid reporter, who stopped at nothing to learn the cold truth behind ice baths.
