Just before his touchdown catch, Seferian-Jenkins made a great play to haul in a 43-yard pass from Keith Price, setting up the Huskies at the Cal 9-yard line.
Late in the game, the Huskies stopped the Bears’ final drive by forcing three straight incompletions from the UW 25-yard line.
With just more than six minutes to play, Cal was driving, near midfield. But Cal quarterback Zach Maynard threw a pass right to Huskies freshman Shaq Thompson, who returned the interception 33 yards to the Bears’ 28-yard line. The turnover was the fourth in four possessions. The Huskies handed the ball to Sankey four straight times, the last carry for a 1-yard touchdown that gave UW a 21-13 lead.
