Washington senior rowers Maddie Cordner and Kirstyn Goodger were named to the Pocock All-America first team Monday by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

Washington’s Ruth Whyman and Washington State’s Nicole Hare were named to the second team.

The Huskies’ varsity eight finished fourth at the NCAA championships. At the Windermere Cup, they beat the visiting national team boat from Great Britain.

Washington State pitcher Ian Hamilton was named a second team Freshman All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. The right-handed closer from Vancouver, Wash., saved a school-record 15 games to lead the Pac-12 and tie for the national lead among freshmen.
