Courtney Ceo hit a three-run homer, Kailee Cuico had a two-run shot and Janelle Lindvall a solo homer for Oregon (27-4, 4-0), a College World Series team last year.
Hooch Fagaly drove in the only run for No. 16 Washington (24-9, 2-2) with a one-out single in the fourth.

EUGENE, Ore. — First baseman Ryon Healy’s two-out, two-run homer in the 10th inning gave 12th-ranked Oregon a 5-3 win over Washington in a Pac-12 series opener.
Robert Pehl’s RBI single down the right-field line in the fifth had given the Huskies a 3-2 lead, and it stayed that way until the eighth, when Healy’s two-out RBI single tied it. Healy finished 3 for 5 with three RBI for the Ducks (20-6, 6-1).
Jared Fisher made only his fourth college start for UW (6-17, 2-5) and retired 15 in a row after a shaky first inning.

PULLMAN — Mark Appel, the nation’s top college pitcher, struck out 10 in a four-hitter as Stanford beat Washington State 3-0 to open a Pac-12 baseball series.
Appel (4-2), a right-hander, was projected as a possible No. 1 overall pick in last year’s amateur draft before being selected eighth by Pittsburgh. He decided not to sign and returned to Stanford (12-8, 2-2).
Appel walked one and hit three batters to outduel Joe Pistorese, who also threw a complete game for the Cougars (15-9, 2-2).
• Seattle University lost 4-2 to Texas State (10-15, 3-1) in the opener of a Western Athletic Conference series in San Marcos, Texas. Grant Newton went 3 for 4 for the Redhawks (10-14, 2-2).
• Mitchell Gunsolus went 2 for 5 and reached base in his 22nd straight game for Gonzaga, but the Bulldogs (15-9-1, 4-3) lost 7-4 to Loyola Marymount (12-13, 4-3) in a West Coast Conference game in Los Angeles.
Jill McDaniel’s two-run home run in the fifth snapped a tie as Central Washington beat Western Washington 6-4 to complete a Great Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep in Ellensburg. Kaleigh Keating had tied it in the top of the fifth with a two-run homer for Western (14-14, 9-5). Central (11-10, 10-2) also won the first game, 10-2.

• Washington State’s Spencer Wordell, a junior from Spokane, scored a career-best 7,093 points to finish ninth among 19 decathletes at the 86th Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. Sean Harris, a senior from Kent, did not finish because of flu-like symptoms.
Anna Lambert rallied to win her No. 2 singles match, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, helping Seattle U’s women’s team beat Texas A&M Kingsville 6-1 in New Braunfels, Texas.
Defending champ Seattle U will play for the Cypress Ridge Match Play Championship for the second consecutive year after two men’s wins against teams from Cal Poly. They face Cal State Bakersfield in the final on Friday in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
