Kickoff: 6 p.m. TV: Channel 4.

The line: Patriots by 9½.

The teams: The Patriots, who have won 27 of 28 and have already won the AFC East, are still chasing the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC’s top playoff seed. This will be their first game since offensive coordinator Charlie Weis was hired to coach at Notre Dame last week. Weis will coach with the Patriots through the end of the season. The Dolphins have already tied the franchise record for most losses (11), a mark first set in 1966. Interim coach Jim Bates is 1-3 since taking over after Dave Wannstedt resigned last month. Miami has lost four straight against New England, including 24-10 on Oct. 10.

Another Patriots streak: The Patriots have won 31 consecutive games in which they have led at halftime, the NFL’s longest streak since 1970.
