Eight players from Washington high schools are on WNBA training-camp rosters.
The list of former Washington high school players looking to play in the WNBA continues to grow. Here’s a look at who’s where:
Ashley Corral, point guard, Prairie High School, Washington Mystics
Outlook: Cut from 2012 Storm training camp, then played in China. New Mystics roster features veteran point guards, so chances are slim.

Alex Montgomery, guard/forward, Lincoln HS, New York Liberty
Outlook: First-year Liberty coach Bill Laimbeer likes her athleticism but size won’t work on the wing in his system. Season could be a defining one for her pro career.
Katelan Redmon, guard/forward, Lewis and Clark HS, Storm
Outlook: On a roster void of depth, could make an impact with scoring capabilities and feel for the game. Played seven games for New York in 2012.
Courtney Vandersloot, point guard, Kentwood HS, Chicago Sky
Outlook: A 2011 All-Star; will play alongside touted rookie Elena Delle Donne in her third season.
